On my own

I've played lots of gigs in and around the Edinburgh, East Lothian and Prestonpans area of Scotland.

I currently have a set list of over 500 songs, ranging from current hits to 50s/60s pop, 70s, country and folk. Listen to a few sample clips from my repertoire. I don't use any backing tapes or midi. It's just me an my guitar.

If you are looking for an entertainer for your hotel, restaurant or bar then I am the performer you are looking for. To book me call me here in the UK on 01875 810375 or contact me by email.

My own music

I've been writing and recording my own songs for the last 10 years. The most popular song I've written is For your love; this version was recorded by my sister Margo and myself for the CD 100 Towns, recorded in 1996. There is also a version recorded by Jacouse for the Companions CD by the Edinburgh based Six Songwriters group.

I am currently recording songs for a new CD. If you need some original songs I can write them for you.

With my band

The LimeLight band have been together for over 15 years and have played thousands of dances, weddings and parties. The band consist of Margo (my sister) on keyboards, Iain on bass, Duncan on Drums and myself on vocals. You can listen to Limelight at www.macarthurmusic.com/limelight/ .

With Jacouse playing traditional folk music

Margo and I also enjoy playing traditional Scottish folk music as part of the Jacouse folk group. In 2001 we recorded a CD of songs written by Robert Burns, Sir Walter Scott and Lady Nairne. You can listen to Jacouse, read concert reviews and buy their CD "Home from the sea" at the Jacouse web site.
